This is a measuring instrument for solar power generation that can perform insulation resistance tests at a string voltage of DC 1,500 V.
In recent years, mega-solar installations have been constructed with string voltages exceeding 1000V due to the increased capacity of modules and the reduction in the number of components in the system. Until now, only insulation resistance meters that measured up to 1000V were available, so insulation resistance tests were likely conducted at night when the system was not generating power. This measuring device performs insulation resistance tests using a method that does not cause short circuits, as specified in the JPEA guidelines. It measures in the order of P-E and N-E, allowing for measurements to be taken without damaging the solar cells, even if there are abnormalities present.
【Other Features】
● Quantifies the state of insulation degradation
● Function to identify ground fault locations in strings (up to 50 modules)
● Continuity check function for the grounding wire connected from the module to the grounding terminal
Weighing only 1.2 kg and in a handy type, it is suitable for on-site completion inspections and regular inspections.
